Qwen-Image-2.1 combines text-to-image generation and editing in one local open-weight model with 7B parameters. Up to ten reference images, RGBA output with transparent layers, and local editing controls based on circles, painted annotations, and separate masks define its concrete focus.
The model supports native 2K resolution, and the project page says Diffusers and ComfyUI support it from release. The license is not unrestricted commercial software, though. The Qwen Research License allows non-commercial use, while commercial projects need a separate license. The documented entry point is local use of the released weights, for example through Diffusers or ComfyUI.
