Scribe v2 Realtime is ElevenLabs’ live speech recognition model. It delivers partial transcripts in about 150 ms according to the provider, covers more than 90 languages, and accepts audio in chunks while returning text continuously. Voice Activity Detection segments speech automatically from periods of silence.
Scribe v2 Realtime supports PCM from 8 to 48 kHz and μ-law, plus manual commit control for finalized segments. Those protocol boundaries determine when an audio chunk is treated as complete. Unlike Scribe v2, it is built for streaming rather than a later batch pass.
