Meshy 7.1
Meshy
- Released
- September 10, 2026
- Data date
- October 7, 2026
- Model class
Meshy 7.1 increases geometry detail over Meshy 7. Ultra 4K scales meshes to 4096³; in the API, meshy-7.1 has been selectable since September 18 for text, single-image, and multi-image to 3D tasks.
The web rollout began September 10 and is open to registered users. Ultra 2K/4K and downloads require a subscription, and Ultra 4K is limited to single-view generation.

- Methodology
- Vendor-reported result. Meshy 7.1 image-to-3D, maximum quality setting, evaluated on uncompressed geometry. The input set emphasizes rich structural detail with simple textures. Each result is rendered from multiple viewing directions at a fixed screen resolution; score is the fraction of visible surface whose orientation varies significantly within one pixel and therefore needs anti-aliasing. Render resolution is stated per row. Render resolution: 1024.
- Context
- Meshy created this benchmark alongside the model release and says the standalone tool will be released separately. It measures surface detail, not overall image-to-3D correctness or quality; the report publishes no item count.

- Methodology
- Independent evaluation. 3Dnatives generated nine models with Meshy 7.1, exported them as 3MF, inspected the mesh properties, and then opened the files in Bambu Studio. The deliberately varied inputs included product images, multi-view photos, a car, a cathedral, and Gemini-generated figurines. The score counts files with no open edge. The lab describes using the Ultra 2K generation setting, but does not list a separate setting for each of the nine outputs. This is exported-file inspection, not physical print testing.
- Context
- This is one small, deliberately selected printability test, not a broad 3D-generation leaderboard. No open edges does not mean a clean single solid: the same test found only two of nine outputs were single closed solids, while the others contained multiple bodies and non-manifold joins.

- Methodology
- Independent evaluation. The same nine Meshy 7.1 outputs from the 3Dnatives Lab test: 3MF exports whose meshes were inspected and opened in Bambu Studio. The score counts outputs the lab identifies as a single closed solid. The lab describes using the Ultra 2K generation setting, but does not list a separate setting for each of the nine outputs. This is exported-file inspection, not physical print testing.
- Context
- This is one small, deliberately selected printability test, not a broad 3D-generation leaderboard. A file can have no open edges yet still contain several separate bodies and non-manifold joins. “One clean solid” is the lab’s classification of the main geometry: the two successful files still contain small slivers, with three total pieces for Leo and two for the Ligier.
